Eligibility Criteria for GCC Admission 2026-2027
1. Educational Qualification
For CUET UG Route: Candidates must pass HS 10+2 or equivalent examination from recognized board with Commerce or Arts stream. Minimum 50% aggregate marks required. Students must appear in CUET UG 2026 with Accountancy/Business Studies/Economics as domain subject and select Gauhati Commerce College as preference in samarth.ac.in portal.
For Direct Admission Route: Candidates must pass HS 10+2 from AHSEC or equivalent board with Commerce stream. Minimum 85% marks for General, 80% for OBC/MOBC, and 75% for SC/ST category. Mathematics in HS is mandatory for BCom Honours. Students must be domicile of Assam for direct admission. Best of 4 subjects including Accountancy and English will be considered for merit calculation.
2. Age Limit
Maximum age limit is 22 years as on 1st August 2026 for General category. Relaxation of 3 years for OBC/MOBC and 5 years for SC/ST/PWD candidates as per Assam Government norms.
